Left or Right

by

Kathy Dingus

There was a little boy
Much loved by his mother
Who always gently reminded him
Wash your hands before sitting down to supper.

This same little chap about four years old
About supper time one day
Came strolling proudly out of the washroom
As we sat down to pray.

Did you wash your hands, his mother asked
Well Mom I washed one up just fine
I peepee’d with my left one
So I’m gonna’ eat with my right!
