Just
Before Bed

Somewhere
a dog is howling
Must have a 'coon up a tree
The moon is full and yellow
A beautiful sight to see
The
mist is falling pea soup thick
Makes it hard to breath
The Katydids are chirping
A midnight symphony
Leaves
on the ground are rustling
Blowing across the yard
I yawn and stretch a mile
I really am so tired
Me
bed is calling gently
Bidding come and lay you down
I hate to leave this scenery
And all the nocturnal sounds
But
I must rest and gather strength
For yet another day
So I can again appreciate
Another midnight display
